Natural Rubbers Containing Carbon Blacks and Silica (Review) – Kuperman F.E. (P. 2).

Review of data concerning methods of production and properties of filled NR, especially for tire rubbers.

Key words: filled NR – properties and production, carbon black, silica, tires.

Production and Market of Synthetic Rubbers in China – Vasil’ev V.A. (P. 5).

Production development and consumption of synthetic rubbers over recent years in China have been analyzed and prospects for the nearest future considered.

Key words: synthetic rubbers – production and consumption, China

Ethylene-Propylene Diene Elastomers KELTAN® – The New Technologies Corresponding to Modern Requirements – Genkina J.M (P. 9).

Basic advantages and fields of application of ethylene-propylene diene elastomers (EPDM) are under consideration. The assortment of trade mark KELTAN® manufactured by “DSM Elastomers” for the Russian market, and the short review of DSM’s “know-how” for EPDM processing are presented.

Key words: EPDM processing, application and properties, catalysis system, vinylidennorbornen, processing additives, KELTAN, “DSM Elastomers”

Tire cords, their dipping and rubberizing – Shmurak I.L. (P. 11).

New developments in the field of steel and textile tire cords, textile cords dipping and cords rubberizing are under consideration.

Key words: steel and textile tire cords, cord dipping, cord rubberizing

Application of Binary and Ternary Silica-to-Rubber Coupling Agents in Tread Rubbers – Kandyrin K.L., Myasnikova N.S. (P. 16).

The possibility of binary approach to the silica coupling agents development and its advantages are shown. The ternary systems shown to be even more promising.

Key words: silica, tread rubber, coupling agent, binary and ternary systems, hysteresis loss.

Special Features of Processing of Tread Rubbers for All Steel Cord Tires, Containing the New Nanostructured Carbon Filler for Elastomers. Part I. Uniformity of Distribution in Rubber – Razdiakonova G.I.,

Titova T.V., Zolkina A.E., Pichugin A.M, Strizhak E.A. (P. 19).

Distribution of the new nanostructured (type N121) and reference (type N220) carbon fillers has been studied by menace of SEM and FAM in standard (based on NR) and tread (based on blend of NR and BR) rubbers. Degree of dispersion of both fillers is more than 99 %, however microscopic uniformity of type

N121 is higher.

Key words: filler distribution, SEM, FAM, nanostructured carbon filler, tread rubber, NR, blend of NR and BR

Development and Study of Tread Rubbers for All Steel Tires with Application of New Domestic Nanostructured Carbon Filler of N121 Type – Titova T. V., Pichugin A. M., Zolkina A. E., Razdiakonova G. I. (P. 23).

Properties of standard (based on NR) and tread rubbers for all steel tires with new domestic nanostructured carbon filler (type analogous to carbon black N 121) have been studied. With the use of this filler the tread rubber (based on blend of NR and BR) of higher wear resistance is developed.

Key words: nanostructured carbon filler, tread rubbers, NR, blend of NR and BR, wear resistance

Study of the Effect of Silica SIDISTAR R 300 on Properties of Tread Rubbers of Passenger Tires –

Zolkina A.E., Titova T.V., Pichugin A.M. (P. 26).

Effect of silica SIDISTAR R 300 content (in comparison with ZEOSIL 165ÌÐ) on properties of tread rubbers of passenger tires has been studied. Increase of wet skid, as well as decrease of tensile strength and abrasion resistance is shown.

Key words: tread rubbers, silica, wet skid, hysteresis, abrasion resistance.

Properties and Application in Rubbers of Carbon Fillers Obtained from Solid Residue of Pyrolysis of Used Tires – Dzyura E.A., Dedusenko V.N., Madatov A.V., Teplitsky A.A. (P. 29).

Solid residue of pyrolysis of used tires (SRP) is produced and converted into carbon filler for rubber, by means of special treatment. Properties of this filler are presented and possibilities of its application in tire and other rubbers are shown.

Key words: pyrolysis of used tires, carbon filler

The Present and the Future of Curing Moulds for Auto-Tires – Gordeev V.K. (P. 31).

Modern designs and manufacturing techniques for curing moulds for auto-tires as well as prospects of development of different manufacturers are analyzed. The information on materials used is presented.

Key words: auto-tires, curing moulds, vulcanization of tires
