Effect of nano-sized modifications of titania (NST) prepared by sulfate technique (anatase and η-TiO2 ) and commercial Degussa P25 on properties of their composites with 1,2-polybutadiene (1,2PB) is studied by a complex of methods. Compositions were prepared by laboratory rolls. Curative group (sulfur, zinc oxide, stearic acid, dibenzothiazolylsulfide and tetramethyltiuramdisulfide) was introduced fist and then masterbutch of NST. The NST structure is shown to affect the degree of interaction between 1,2PB and titania. Effect of titania structure on the interaction between 1,2PB and titania is shown. Titania introduction results in decrease of glass transition temperature, i.e. extends the temperature range of the material working capacity.

Study of the Surface Morphology of Elastomers Modified by Gaseous Fluorine and its Effect on the Friction Properties Nazarov V.G., Stolyarov V.P., Pyatov I.S., Maksimova Yu.A., Vasileva S.N., Mikhaleva L.A. (P. 12)

Effect of surface fluorination on the surface layer morphology of a number of rubbers under dry slip friction on steel, duralumin and bronze have been studied. The higher effect is shown for compounds based on butadiene-nitrile and ethylene-propylene rubbers. Surface fluorination results in a decrease of sliding friction coefficient due to the reducing of adhesive contact in a rubber-metal pair. The reducing could be from 2.5 to 20 times depending on the type of rubber.

The effect of physicochemical properties of carbon black of different dispersion characteristics on the composition of the soil micro flora was studied. Carbon black introduced into the soil was shown to stimulate an increase in the number of all groups of soil microorganisms during 15 20 days.

Mathematical model of non-isothermal flow of rubber compounds is presented. Model takes into account all the main features of the injection molding process. An attempt is made to develop a methodology of optimizing of the injection phase of the molding on the basis of this model.
