Polymerization Kinetics and Molecular Characteristics of “Neodymium” Polybutadiene: Effect of Monomer and Catalyst Concentration – Akhmetov I.G., Kozlov V.G., Salakhov I.I., Akhmetova D.R., Sakhabutdinov A.G., D'yakonov G.S. (P. 2).

Effect of monomer and catalyst content on the molecular characteristics of polybutadiene synthesized in the presence of neodymium versatate-diisobutyl aluminum hydride-hexachloro-p-xylene system was studied. Kinetic parameters of the process were measured. Data confirming the constancy of distribution probability of chain termination are obtained and possible origin of this phenomenon is under consideration.

Results of study of adhesion of chlorocontaining polymers to different substrates, especially tire cords, are presented. Efficiency of polymer coat on cord instead of brass is shown.

Properties of compounds with Shungit added directly in powder form and as master batch have been studied. The possibility to replace Silica in tire compounds (especially of the green tire) as well as carbon black in a typical butyl tube compound and EPDM roofing material is shown.

The results of investigation of properties of elastomer composites by means of instrumental set Nanotest 600 in comparison with conventional macromechanical experiments are presented. Obtained data shows that it can be used to estimate filler-filler and elastomer-filler interactions in filled vulcanizates and also such properties as uniformity, elasticity, Hysteresis.

Preparation of Molds for Rubber Molding to Ensure Smooth Start-Up in Production – Barton G. (P. 23).

The possible surface treatments of molds prevented the effect of mold fouling of different rubber compounds (NR and Bromobutyl) are presented and their properties are under consideration. Halogenated compounds shown to need some extra-special measures of mold protection.

The Use of Recycled Silicon Rubber for High-Voltage Insulation – Shakhovets S.E., Rosinkevich S.F., Smirnov B.L., Nikolaev O.O. (P. 27).

The possibility of the use of 20% of the reclaimed silicon rubber, obtained from worn protecting jackets of insulators, for production of new ones is shown. Regimes of reclaiming and properties of rubber of different reclaim content are under discussion.

New designs of fibrous cores for rubberized soft packing for gaskets improved performance characteristics of different packing units are presented. Possibility of further improvement of design are under discussion.
