Payne Effect of Chloroprene Rubbers Containing Activated Rubber Powder – Adov M.V., Pitchkhidze S.Y., Kandyrin K.L. (P. 2).

Dynamic storage and loss modulus as well as tg of carbon black filled chloroprene rubbers containing activated rubber powder under different amplitudes have been studied. Payne effect is analyzed and conclusions about effect of powder studied are presented.

Comparative Characterization of Sulfur Vulcanizates of EPDM with Zink Oxide and Shungit as Activators. Part I. Vulcanizates of Individual EPDM – Shershnev V.A., Reznichenko S.V., Glebova Yu.A., Silant’eva E.A., Pyzhonkova V.V. (P. 4).

Activating action of shungit at sulfur vulcanization of some examples of EPDM was shown. Comparison with usual activator – zinc oxide is presented. Higher values of tensile strength and elongation of vulcanizates with shungit is shown. Mechanism of his effect is proposed.

Comparative Characterization of Sulfur Vulcanizates of EPDM with Zink Oxide and Shungit as Activators. Part II Covulcanization of Binary Blends of Different EPDM’s compositions – Shershnev V.A., Reznichenko S.V., Silant’eva E.A., Glebova Yu.A., Pyzhonkova V.V. (P. 6).

Activating action of shungit was confirmed at covulcanization of binary blends of EPDM of different unsaturation. The possibility of improving of mechanical properties of EPDM with greater unsaturation (matrix) and smaller one’s (discrete part) is shown.

Blocking of the Polyisocyanate in the Presence of Adipic and Terephthalic Acids – Puchkov A.F., Kablov V.F ., Kozlova O.V., Gorban’ O.V. (P. 10)

Properties of industrial (RU) and experimental modifiers and tire rubber compounds containing these modifiers, are compared. Small addition of adipic and terephthalic acids in the blocking group of early developed modifier BKPITS-DBS, results in the improvement of rubber/cord bond. Ageing of two rubbers, I – based on blend of BSK with EPDM and II– based on Butyl rubber, has been studied. Data obtained under storage within 40 years in a warehouse are compared with calculated ones.
