Grinding of EthylenePropyleneDiene Rubbers by Means of the Method of HighTemperature Shear Deformation – Solomatin D.V., Kuznetsova O.P., Prut E.V. (P. 11)

Grinding of EPDM vulcanized rubbers by means of the method of high-temperature shear deformation has been studied. Monodispersed rubber powders with the predominant fraction of particles of 0.315-0.63 mm in size were prepared. Grinding results in the formation of particles consisted of the core of high-density cross-linking, surrounded by a layer of low-density cross-linking gel fraction and the density of cross-linking of this gel fraction is lower than that of initial vulcanized rubber.

Key words: EPDM, grinding, rubber powder, cross-linking density, strength, elongation at break

Phase State of the Calcium Stearate in the Butadiene Acrylonitrile Rubbers (BNKS type) – Sokolova L.V., Matukhina E.V. (P. 14)

Calcium stearate itself and in butadiene acrylonitrile rubbers (BNKS type) have been studied by means of X-Ray diffraction under large and small angles as well as DSC. Conclusion about formation of liquid crystals of two types of calcium stearate in BNKS is presented. Annealing of BNKS results in decrease of phase transition temperatures of calcium stearate.

Key words: calcium stearate, BNKS, X-Ray diffraction, DSC, liquid crystals, phase transitions

Elastomeric Compositions Containing Carbon Nanomaterial – Vishnevskii K.V., Shashok Z.S., Prokopchuk N.R. (P. 18)
