Production of Butyl Rubber in Suspension over Isoprene-Modified Aluminum Chloride – Markina E.A., Chelnokova S.Z., Sofronova O.V., Akhmed'yanova R.A., Ziyatdinov A.Sh., Shiyapov R.T., Sakhabutdinov A.G., Gil'mutdinov N.R., Gil'manov Kh.Kh. (P.10).

In order to decrease the initial polymerization rate of butyl rubber, the catalytic complex was modified with isoprene by addition of isoprene to the catalyst solution. The introduction of the optimal quantity of isoprene open the possibility to conduct the copolymerization process in more stable thermal conditions and at higher isobutylene concentrations. As a result the polymer yield is increased without the degradation of polymer properties.
